*KRI Mixed Relay 4X1.5km. For this event, all participants must register with Thomas Ang (FOCUS ACE) before 19^th January 2014. No participation fee is charged. Late entries will not be entertained.

My Dear Fellow Members,

            Seasons’ Greetings to all members. We are about to end one eventful year 2013 and welcome another in about a fortnight’s time. May all things good come to you in the days ahead and the new year that follows. To all our members and friends I wish you a happy new year 2014. To our Chinese members who will be celebrating the year of the Horse, Gong Xi Fa Cai.

            Year 2013 was a year which we broke new grounds in the running of club activities. We organized the first Master Swimmers Meet at the newly refurbished Kinta Swimming Club and also the first Dualthlon at the Haven, Ipoh. Both these events attracted encouraging participation from KRI members and the public.

            The year also saw the first and most tragic accident which killed two of our members running on the road. This happened along Gopeng Road during the early hours of one Sunday morning.. I am indeed devastated by this event and hope our members will exercise extra care when they take to the roads. Perhaps wearing our Club’s luminous vest and going against the flow of traffic would eliminate future risk. I trust you will do everything to ensure your own safety.

            KRI will be printing  a new edition of the Club Directory in the first quarter of 2014. I wish all members will pay up their subscriptions early to avoid having the names omitted from the new directory.

For those whose membership subscriptions are due, kindly pay your subscriptions before 31^st March 2014 to continue enjoying the Club benefits. You can also settle your dues during the CNY Ang Pow Run or the KRI Mixed Relay Run.
